IKEA is Swedish for Great Kids Gear

We don’t usually write feature stories on ranges of products but IKEA is the exception to the rule that every parent needs to know about. With a selection of baby and kids gear closer to a baby shop than a furniture store IKEA has something for every parent.

One of the things I love about shopping at IKEA is the huge range of innovative, well designed and funky gear for babies and kids at great prices. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw their black and white baby mobiles for under $10, its hard enough finding these in the fancy pants baby boutiques, let alone at that price.

The range of nursery furniture and décor is extensive with an option for every parent’s style and budget. The decorative features like textiles, bed canopies and wall lights allow you to create a baby wonderland at an affordable price.

You can’t really buy better for baby basics such as hooded towels, baby baths, feeding utensils, cotton wraps, you name it, they have it. They even have a range of child proof blackout blinds.

Don’t get me started on the toys suffice to say those little dress up hats and masks go way beyond the traditional fairy dress ups. It’s time for bees, bugs and aliens to rule!!!

Avoid the weekends and try for a weekday afternoon. That will give you and your bees, bugs or aliens plenty of time to buzz around.
