Here at Best Buys HQ we pride ourselves on our hands-on baby product reviews. Every product we review is put to the test by parents just like you.

Product Reviews
We won't review any old baby product. To make it into a Best Buys review a product must be:

• well designed
• functional
• value for money (not necessarily the cheapest or most expensive, but delivers bang for your buck)
• something new and/or different for parents
• look and/or feel great
• a best-seller or parent favourite

Wherever we can, we support Aussie designed and made products, environmentally sound production, small family businesses and outstanding design.

There are some products we don't review for various reasons (baby hammocks don't meet SIDS and Kids safe sleeping guidelines, baby walkers have a habit of causing nasty accidents). We have to have faith in a product to review it.

None of our product reviews are 'sponsored' i.e we don't accept any kind of payment for reviews (or any other editorial content) on Best Buys 4 Baby. We do receive baby products which we use for review processes. These products are provided to our parent testers and/or given away to our subscribers (keep an eye on our Facebook page!).

Star Ratings
The objective of our rating system is to help parents differentiate products based on their needs. We rate products across 4 important criteria; features, quality, aesthetics (good looks are important!) and value. We then combine those 4 individual ratings to create an overall rating out of 5 stars.

We rate out of 5 stars starting from fair (a mid point) to outstanding.

Most baby products have pros and cons because they are designed to appeal to different families and their varying needs. Therefore very few products get a 5 star rating.
