Maclaren recall: what's happening in Australia?
Following news that Maclaren has voluntarily recalled all their strollers sold in the US since 1999, Maclaren's Australian distributors have made an announcement to Maclaren owners in Australia.
Basically there will be no recall in Australia, Maclaren prams meet all applicable Australian safety standards for prams and the accidents that have occurred (12 damaged baby digits) in the US have been the result of users failing to follow the product instructions correctly.
However, we are not being left high and dry, CNP Brands, distributors of Maclaren in Australia is offering all Maclaren owners free joint covers on request.
You can claim your covers via the CNP Brands website or by contacting CNP Brands Customer Service on 1300 667 137 between 9.00am – 4:00pm AESDT.
Get onto it, better to be safe than sorry (and minus a mini digit).
