Miller Goodman grows up
One of my favourite toys of 2009, Miller Goodman’s Shapemaker now has an older sibling for bigger boys and girls; get creative with Playshapes.
For those of you who missed out on the Shapemaker it’s a set of 25 geometric coloured wooden blocks which make the ultimate puzzle. Your toddler can use them to make unlimited designs and pictures but it doesn’t stop there. I know kids up to 10 years who love their Shapemaker and a few mums and dads who like to get into the act too.
If you've not seen them before check out this cool Shapemaker animation.
Now PlayShapes takes the concept one level further with 74 wooden shaped blocks that can be stacked together to create cool 3D creations. They look like fantastic fun but priced at $180.00 they are not for the feint hearted parent.
I’m going to have to come to terms with the price soon because only 100 sets will be available in Australia and they will be hitting the shop shelves very soon.
If you’d like to start from the very beginning the Shapemaker is available at your local toy shop or online boutiques for a more reasonable $69.95.
