phil&ted spot on with the dot

It's another phil&teds sneak peek from the Kind + Jugend nursery trade fair. It's the mini me of the phil&teds inline range of double prams. It’s the dot.

First, phil&teds went large with their new promenade double. Now they've gone small with the dot. The dot’s very similar to the explorer (one of which we are currently giving away!) but marginally smaller.

The dot has all the features you expect from a phil&teds stroller (including a double kit) but the prototype you can see here features a new brake system built into the handle. You can set the brake so that if you let go of the handle the dot will automatically apply the brakes to stop the pram rolling away.

phil&teds is not sure if it will go to production with this hand brake or stick with the traditional foot brake. Only time and parent product tester feedback will tell.

At the moment the dot's looking hot in brown & orange and brown & blue colour ways.

We’ll see the dot arrive in Aussie stores sometime in the first half of the new year (2012). Expect it to be in a similar price bracket as the explorer ($700 or so).
