Design and Features
The ABC fun pad is an elasticised table top cover made of a 100% cotton cover with a polyester filling.
It comes in large and medium to fit most round and rectangular coffee tables. It has a plain colour on one side and a fun print on the other and is available in City Adventures (and grey) or Great Explorer (and pink).
Medium fits 18" x 40" to 26" x 48", large fits 20" x 48" to 40" to 60". The Large is pretty big and just fits on my medium sized dining table.
Performance and Drawbacks
These table top covers slip over your coffee table like a fitted sheet. They are easy to fit and remove, creating a kids space one moment and a parent’s the next.
Its nice thick and soft, perfect for creating a soft space for a new walker. If you buy it at toddler time you will get good use out of it for a whole childhood.
This table top is a great idea for turning your table into a play or craft space. The cityscape design is particularly inviting for little guys and girls and their cars. Your kids can actually use the plain coloured side to draw on with washable markers.
Make sure you get the right size as it bunches up around the sides where there is excess. The padding is great for preventing bumps and bruises on your baby but it also makes your table not as friendly to your coffee cup, mugs are probably more stable.
A better idea is to remove it altogether for your afternoon cuppa but it’s quite bulky to store. About the same size as a folded double blanket.
It’s fully washable and can be dried in the dryer.
Conclusion
This is not something I would rush out to buy, however, if you have a special coffee table that needs protecting, want to create a safe play area or even an additional play area then this is a good product for you.
