Avent iQ 24 Electric Steam Steriliser is large and plastic and sits on your bench top. It comes with a special rack for your Isis Breastpump if you use one.
It features an electronic display panel and gives an audible signal when finished.
Performance and Drawbacks
This steriliser is easy to use and fast fast fast. You basically load it up, add water and hit the go button.
It has room for six bottles or two Isis breast pumps and only takes six minutes before the contents are sterile. If that’s not quick enough for you it also has a pause button which will interrupt the cycle so you can grab something out.
It has two nodes, one will keep the contents sterile for up to six hours, the other up to 24 hours (as long as you don’t open it).
Surprisingly it doesn’t have an on/off switch so you have to take the plug out of the socket when not in use.
Conclusion
This is one of the most efficient sterilising options available. If you are going to use a sterilising unit a lot then its worth investing in.
You can often find them cheaper at some of the larger discount chemists.
