Design and Features

The BabyBjorn Travel Cot Light comes in three parts, the cot itself, a snug fitting mattress and a sturdy carry case.

It's made from polyester and cotton with aluminum legs and comes in silver.

The BabyBjorn Travel Cot Light features padding around the top of the cot which covers all hinges and moving parts to minimise the possibility of little fingers getting caught.

Performance and Drawbacks

The BabyBjorn Travel Cot Light is a very smartly designed product. It literally took a minute to set up; no instructions necessary. Weighing in at only 5 kgs makes it easy for anyone to carry about and assemble.

The Travel Cot Light is built for comfort with good sized base that will sleep up to a 3 year old. The mattress is firm but softer than many other travel cots and the base is suspended from the floor.

Once assembled, the Travel Cot Light is compact and will comfortably fit in your hotel room.

The Travel Cot Light is very sturdy, a toddler couldn't shake and/or tip it. However, they might be able to shuffle it across the room so be particularly cautious near stairs, fires or any other hazards.

Packing it away takes twice a long as setting it up, i.e. 2 minutes. The Travel Cot Light fits comfortably in its travel bag and the folded size is medium; it will fit easily in the boot but is to big for a suitcase. However, you can check it in as part of your luggage.

The mattress comes with a zip on cotton sheet and the whole cot itself can be unzipped and all fabric can be washed in your machine. You can buy extra sheets if you need them.

All parts of the BabyBjorn Travel Cot Light are good quality and this cot should outlast at least a few babies through to toddlerhood.

BabyBjorn suggest you stop using the cot when your child can (and wants to) climb in and out of it.

Conclusion

BabyBjorn has a reputation for making great quality products and the Travel Cot Light is no exception. If it hadn't been for the price factor I would have easily given it a rating of 10 out of 10.

You can find the BabyBjorn Travel Cot light at bigger baby stores and online. Look around for the best deal.
