Having not grown up in the Australian beach culture, I've never been one much for the beach. Add to that the need to slather one's self and one's children in sticky sunscreen, which is just made to attract sand, and I can tell you it was a big ask to get me to the beach.
Perhaps I should take a step back and introduce myself. I'm the partner of one of the Best Buys' founders and as it happens the chief nerd responsible for the site. I'm not even sure I'm allowed to post reviews on the site - but I say "what they don't know, can't hurt them".
But back to the review. Sunscreen is a truly wonderful thing, there is no doubt. Keeping ourselves and our children safe from dangerous UVA and UVB so easily and cost effectively is key to enjoying our modern lifestyles, especially in Australia.
The downfall for mine however has always been the horrid stickiness that comes with its application. Especially for those like me that find humidity a real killer, the idea of adding sunscreen is often a big put-off. But when you're on holiday with the family as we were recently and they all want to spend many many hours outside in the sun there's no option but to "sticky" up.
Well not any more!
The good people at Banana Boat have produced a formula that is not only the necessary SPF30+ and water resistant but is also "Dry Touch" to which "Sand Won't Stick". It' s like magic! Well more like a very clever formula I guess, but it works.
I'd highly recommend this product for kids and for adults, although I understand there is a range for adults if you feel silly putting kids products on.
