Design and Features
Contigo kids cups are BPA-free plastic kids drink bottles.
They feature a unique autoseal which means that when you child wants a drink they need to press the autoseal button. As soon at they stop pressing the button the bottle seals. They also feature a a rubber bottom for grip.
They come 250 ml and larger 500ml size. You can choose from a variety of very cool unisex colour combinations including yellow & orange, green & red and purple & green.
Performance and Drawbacks
Contigo kids cups are suitable for children from 2 years and they are the perfect size for little hands to wrap around. The autoseal is perfectly placed and just the right size for toddlers to get a good grip on to depress it to drink.
Once it's depressed the contents flow freely so it's easy to drink. No sucking or squeezing required. Because they have the autoseal feature Contigo bottles are great to use in the car, the cot or other places you might be reluctant to give a child a drink.
You can't freeze Contigo bottles, however the mouth of the bottles is wide and they are easy to fill and pop a few ice cubes in to keep the contents cold. Also, because of the wide mouth, they are easy to clean and suitable to go into the top rack of the dishwasher.
Contigo bottles are great quality and will out-live a tough toddler. The rubber bottom is non-slip and also acts as a shock absorber if the bottle is dropped.
Of course, because they are reusable, Contigo kids cups are kind to the environment.
What our testers said
Our Contigo kids cups were very popular with our toddler testers (3 & 3.5). It only took them a few minutes to learn how to help themselves to a drink.
One of our bottles hit the tiles twice within the first 5 minutes and both times it just bounced off the floor.
Our parents loved them because they truly didn't leak and they didn't have to unscrew caps for fiddle with bottle tops. The Contigo kids cups were completely self service.
It was noted that both our toddler testers were drinking more from their Contigo kids cups because the water flowed quicker. Although they had other 250ml drink bottles the Contigo bottle was almost too small because they were drinking more than average.
Conclusion
Contigo kids cups earn their 10 out of 10 score because they're a smartly designed and reasonably priced product. Not to mention that kids love them and anything that encourages them to drink more water gets the thumbs up from us.
