Design and Features
The FlexiBath is a standard baby sized bath which folds flat and is secured by a little clip.
It's made from non-toxic plastics, features a non slip bottom and a little drainage hole with plug and comes in a huge array of great colour combos including clear.
Performance and Drawbacks
The FlexiBath performs pretty much the same as any standard baby bath. You fill it with water and bath your baby. Where the FlexiBath differs from the norm is that when you've finished you can push the sides inward and fasten the bath with the clip to keep it flat for storage.
It's suitable for children up to four years but you might find it a bit small if you have a longer legged child. Also a larger child can rock the FlexiBath sideways and tip it over so you should always supervise your child in this bath even if they are older.
For a baby the soft sides are much nicer than brittle plastic baths and if you look after your FlexiBath it should keep many babies and children clean.
The FlexiBath doesn't have a lip around it which means it fits in many spaces that you usually couldn't fit a baby bath including in a full sized bath tub if you have one, the kitchen bench, in some shower recesses and on some change tables. Just be a little bit extra cautious if you use your bath on an elevated surface (as you would with any baby bath).
Having a plug is really useful, you'd be surprised how many baby baths don't have one and they can be awkward to empty. Mind you, it doesn't matter if the contents are going outside on the garden.
Apart from the every day convenience of being able to stow the Flexibath away, once your baby has outgrown it, it is also much easier to store away for the next member of the family.
Oil-based baby products will degrade the plastic over time. It's best to use only water, soap and shampoo in the FlexiBath.
When you open it the ends still bend inwards a little, however, once you fill it with water it will maintain its shape.
Finally I know that it has nothing to do with the function but I'd forgive you if you thought the funky design and colour combos were a selling point.
Conclusion
There are so many circumstances where a folding baby bath is going to be convenient that it's worth paying the extra for this unique function.
Also, if you think about it, there are not many parents who keep and reuse a baby bath for subsequent children because they are such bulky items to store. Might as well pay a bit extra at the beginning and get a product you can store away for future use.
Flexibaths are widely available in store and online.
