Design
The IKEA Hensvik change table and cabinet is an open cabinet, like book case, with two shelves with the change table in use or three shelves without.
It has the classic white nursery look more associated with girls rooms than boys but would be suitable for an infant boy.
You can also get a bed, cot, wardrobe and assorted storage units in the Hensvik range if you want a matching nursery.
Features
The Hensvik is not huge on features as such. The change table goes length ways so it does have a foot and head board to keep your baby secure. It doesn’t come with a change mat insert, you have to buy your own.
It’s made from particle board with a foil finish under the acrylic for durability. It comes in white.
As with most IKEA furniture this change table needs to be assembled and it comes in two boxes.
Performance
This change table is easy to assemble in typical IKEA fashion and it offers a secure and safe place to change your baby.
What makes this table different from the others is its use after the need for bottom changing has gone.
Drawbacks
White is nice for a newborn but not so hardy for a toddler or child. This table/cabinet may scratch with hard wear.
Conclusion
A change table's life is limited so a change table that converts into a useful piece of furniture is definitely worth considering.
