The Poang is one of a number of kids chairs made by IKEA. It's a very cute piece of children's furniture.
Design and Features
This chair looks so gorgeous in miniature size with it's blond wood curvy frame and natural coloured cushion. It has a birch veneer finish and 100% cotton cover.
Performance and Drawbacks
Like all IKEA furniture the Poang is easy to assemble (I've had a go myself) and reasonably durable. The seat is very comfortable and is suitable for sitting up and slouching. If only it came with a matching foot stool!
The seat cover comes off and is fully machine washable which it needs to be because 'hello' it's natural colour. (I have seen them in blue and red but they don't seem to be available in store.)
Smaller children are inclined to slide their bottoms off chairs as they get off and this one will tip. Luckily it's not too heavy but nobody likes a clunk to the head.
Conclusion
Style meets small size, add a Oscar the Owl pillow and it's just 2 cool 4 school.
The Poang also comes in mum 'n' dad size so everyone can join the style council.
