Design and Features
The BeddieBye Zip-around is a sleeping bag with a difference. It has a zip all the way around the outside so you open your baby up like a mini suitcase. This makes it really easy to get them in and out (as long as they are lying in quiet mode on their back).
They have adjustable shoulder tabs which allow you to adjust the neckline to ensure your baby's head can't get through. They have a wider base for plenty of leg room. You can get two sizes, small and large.
At the moment they come in four basic colours and only in a warmer micro fleece fabric but knowing Kiddopotamus they will arrive in other fabrics and colours some time soon.
Performance and Drawbacks
No matter where your baby goes the BeddieBye goes with them so they are always going to be warm in their bed no matter what corner of the cot they have shuffled too.
Whether this bag will be easier to use than others will depend on your baby. If you have a little wigglewort you might have difficulty getting them to stay still long enough to zip them in. There is no doubt though that this bag would make night time sleepy baby bottom changes much easier.
As it only comes in one fabric it’s not going to suit all sleeping environments, particularly warmer ones. Hopefully a lighter, cotton version will be available soon.
Conclusion
If your baby is just out of swaddles or is happy to lie relatively still this bag is probably a good option for you. Also for smaller babies the adjustable shoulder straps are a good design feature and help make this bag more secure.
