Love N Care make a number of bassinets, of which the Love N Care Complete Bassinet comes in six different colour and pattern options. Something for every baby.
Design
This Bassinet strikes a remarkable resemblance to the one my brother slept in when he was a baby. The typical woven white plastic basket with handles, metal frame, frilly skirt and hood have been a mum's favorite for decades.
As mentioned above it does come in a variety of colours and patterns including a long skirted version.
Features
The Love N Care Complete Bassinet comes with lots of features. Carry handles, adjustable hood, lockable caster wheels, mozzie net and detachable toys to name a few.
It also comes complete with pillow case, quilt set, mattress and mattress protector. Some styles have a large storage basket underneath.
Performance
This cradle does its job by providing a safe and comfortable place for your newborn to sleep.
The wheels make it easy to move the bassinet around so you can keep an eye on your newborn while they are sleeping. You can take the basket anywhere.
Drawbacks
This style of bassinet does have a lot of haberdashery which may prevent the air circulating around your baby and may be considered a SIDS risk so give this some consideration before you purchase.
Conclusion
Buying a bassinet for your new baby is an emotional purchase so keep in mind the fact that it only has 6 months of use.
The first thing my visiting midwife did when she visited was defrock this bassinet; you might be better off getting one of the simpler versions but defrocked worked just as well.
You can never do enough to lower you baby’s risk of SIDS. Find more information on the SIDS and Kids website and support Red Nose Day every year.
