The Medela Manual Breastpump consists of a funnel that sits over your boob, a vacuum which you manually operate and a bottle base for collecting the breast milk.
It’s small and light and made from BPA free plastic. It can be upgraded to a mini electric pump if required.
Many hospitals use the electric version for new mums who are having problems breastfeeding.
Performance and Drawbacks
This pump is best suited for occasional use. It’s easy to operate but the manual action can uncomfortable on your wrist after longer periods of use. It’s also quite tiring.
The biggest drawback of this pump is that you can’t microwave it. The best method of cleaning is hot soapy water.
