The classic pram is basically a phil&teds sport stripped back to its bare necessities.
Design
The design is the standard slim in-line style of pram that we are used to seeing from phil&teds. This clever design allows for a toddler seat to be attached at the back or front of the pram depending on your needs.
The components are well designed and constructed but not as plush or fancy as some of the more expensive phil&teds models.
Features
The classic features a three position recline, including flat, and a 2 level tilt adjustable handle bar. There is not as much padding on the seat for your baby as other phil&ted models but the fabric is fully washable.
The basket is a reasonable size but can be difficult to get to when the toddler seat is in use. The hood is quite small and you may need to invest in a sun shade if you spend a lot of time out of doors.
Performance
The classic is light and easy to manoeuvre and can be pushed with one hand when needed. It is designed to be used in all terrains but has no suspension which can make a rough trip bumpy.
You must remove the toddler seat prior to folding and the pram basically folds flat. The folded pram is of medium size and you should check it will fit in your boot before purchase.
The foot break on the classic lets it down, it's a long metal bar that's quite difficult to reach and get purchase on when you have a toddler seat attached. It's most effective to use the back of your heal to flip it up which can be awkward.
Drawbacks
Most accessories, particularly the tandem accessories, have to be purchased separately which is an additional cost. It doesn't even come with a single rain cover which is something that always annoys me.
The wheels are inflatable so always make sure you carry your pump and a repair kit, especially if you are going off-road.

If you like what a phil&teds in-line pram can do for you then give the classic consideration. If you want a few more bells and whistles then check out the sport, dash and vibe.
