Design and Features
The Grasshopper Pull Along Toy is a nice wooden grasshopper (duh!) with a string attached for pulling.
It is made from the wood from defunct rubber trees and is finished in a lacquer for durability.
Performance and Drawbacks
This Grasshopper is nice and tactile for little hands to touch and feel. When it’s being pulled its legs go around and it’s bobbley antenna bounce.
It balances reasonably well and requires some toddler concentration straightening it up and pulling it along. It’s amazing what important work pulling along a grasshopper can be.
Unfortunately after 10 months of loving toddler testing both the legs fell off our grasshopper. The real concern was that the little wooden disks that hold the legs on represent a choking hazard so it failed the safety test as well as the durability one.
Q Toys needs to reconsider the way this toy is constructed.
Conclusion
Unfortunately the safety hazard means the Pull Along Grasshopper not suitable for it's intended playmates so I have to give it our lowest score.
This grasshopper is really cute and the kids all love him so I'm really disappointed that it didn't last the distance.
